The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at NC State University seeks highly qualified candidates to fill tenure-track or tenured faculty positions. We particularly encourage applications in the areas of energy or soft materials, with particular emphasis on integration of autonomous laboratories, AI, or machine learning in these fields. Your expertise and contributions will complement departmental strengths in energy and sustainability, materials, and data and computational engineering.
Key responsibilities:
Develop an externally funded research program of international reputation, including collaborative and interdisciplinary research.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in chemical engineering, including topics in AI and machine learning.
Perform departmental service, including committee work, as well as engage in broader initiatives that support the education and research missions of the institution.
Contribute to the broader engineering community through professional service.
