Job Description

The Chemical and Materials Engineering Department at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position in Chemical Engineering. The research area is open, and all topics will be considered. Preference will be given to research topics that complement the expertise of the department, especially in the subjects of water, systems engineering, and electrochemical engineering. Water has long been an important topic in Nevada, and contemporary areas of interest include sustainable industrial processing, reuse, emerging pollutants, mining production and drainage, etc. Responsibilities include developing a nationally recognized and externally funded research program, instruction and advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and service to the department, the university, and the profession.

Required Qualifications

PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field is required. However, a Chemical Engineering degree is required in either PhD or BS level to be considered.
