The Department of Chemical Engineering at Virginia Tech seeks outstanding candidates for a tenure-track faculty opening at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral level degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field, a record of excellence in research, and a commitment to teaching and working with a diverse population of undergraduate and graduate students. Outstanding candidates in any area of chemical engineering research are sought, however research interests in advanced materials, energy, and sustainability would especially align with departmental priorities and interdisciplinary efforts in the University.

The department of chemical engineering has experienced significant growth in the past few years, and recently moved into new space in Goodwin Hall, the signature engineering building on the Virginia Tech campus.
