THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMICAL AND BIOCHEMICAL ENGINEERING AT MISSOURI UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (Missouri S&T, Formerly University of Missouri-Rolla) invites applications and nominations for one non tenure-track (NTT) teaching position (#65392) as a Professor of Practice. Associate or higher rank would be considered for superior candidates. Primary responsibility will be to establish/implement multi-disciplinary design teams with supporting undergraduate laboratory experiments and developing and implementing open-ended multi-disciplinary senior design courses and projects in collaboration with industry. Candidates should hold at least a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or allied discipline from an accredited program. Applicants should have extensive industrial experience with demonstrated teaching excellence documented by a teaching portfolio or other supporting evidence. The successful candidate will lead in developing multidisciplinary activities that will further prepare our students for careers in industry. Professional engineering licensure, or eligibility to become licensed, is preferred. Candidates should be familiar with process simulation software packages including ASPEN, HYSYS, and Matlab. Primary responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses with a focus on process design and safety, curriculum development, advising students, and helping with ABET preparation.
