The Department of Chemical Engineering at Lehigh University seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor with a preferred starting date of August 2013 or sooner. We are looking for exceptional candidates with research interests in Interfacial Science and Engineering that cut across one or more disciplines related to complex fluids, polymers, synthetic biology, molecular theory and simulations, and micro/nano scale systems.
The campus has strong interdisciplinary and interdepartmental groups in biotechnology, materials, polymers, interfaces, and nanotechnology with which the candidate can interact. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a nationally recognized research program and to engage in enthusiastic teaching of undergraduate and graduate students in chemical engineering. Lehigh University is one of seven recipients in 2010 of an NSF ADVANCE Institutional Transformation Grant to enhance recruitment, retention, and the advancement of women faculty in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields at Lehigh.
