The Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Minnesota Duluth has two tenure-track assistant professor positions available beginning August 27, 2012. Two separate searches are being conducted for these two positions. Job duties and responsibilities include teaching and research in the fields of biochemical engineering or mineral/material processing, teaching and service in the department, and provide service to the university and to the profession. Essential qualifications include B.S. and Ph.D. from a regionally accredited university in the field of chemical engineering or closely related fields (by June 1, 2012), excellent communication skills, the ability to teach core chemical engineering courses and laboratories to a diverse group of students at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and demonstrated ability to conduct independent research.
