Endowed Faculty Chair in the Energy Sciences

The Department of Chemical Engineering at Lehigh University seeks nominations and applications for the Anderson Endowed Faculty Chair position in the broad field of Energy Sciences that includes, but is not restricted to, the general areas of Energy Systems, Chemical Processing, Optimization, Reaction Engineering, Separation Science, Biocatalysis, Photovoltaics, Biofuels and the Environment. Nominees / applicants should have an exceptional record of achievements in research, teaching, supervision and service.

Lehigh has a strong tradition of interdisciplinary activities, and joint appointments with other departments are possible. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a strong, externally funded research program with significant potential for interdisciplinary research with national impact, and will be expected to be a leader in campus-wide Energy and Environmental Initiatives. Excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching and the integration of research and education are core values of Lehigh’s mission.

This is a senior appointment to an endowed chair position.
