The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering is soliciting applications for two tenure-track faculty positions, one in chemical catalysis and one in biocatalysis, at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level to join 19 collegial, supportive, and diverse faculty. The candidate will have the opportunity to directly engage in significant interdisciplinary collaborations including the National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center for Biorenewable Chemicals (http://www.cbirc.iastate.edu) and the Bioeconomy Institute (http://www.biorenew.iastate.edu). Responsibilities will include training of graduate students as well as undergraduate education and service activities.

The chemical catalysis search seeks candidates in the areas of catalysis or catalytic materials synthesis. Interest in converting biorenewable molecules is highly desirable.
