A research associate position is available starting April 1, 2019, in the Nano Energy and Environment Catalysis Lab in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Virginia Tech.

The qualified candidate should have expertise in nanomaterials synthesis, characterization, catalytic evaluation and/or catalytic reactor design to perform research on developing advanced catalytic systems for C-H activation, selective hydrogenation and electrochemical conversions.
Preferred candidates should have:
PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or close related science discipline:
1. Expertise in synthesis of nanomaterials.
2. Expertise in studying heterogeneous catalysis or electrocatalysis.
3. Experience in studying kinetics and mechanisms of catalysis.
4. An excellent track record of productive and creative research.
