Assistant/Associate Professor
Department of Chemical Engineering
Virginia Tech

The Department of Chemical Engineering at Virginia Tech seeks outstanding candidates for a faculty opening at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, with the rank being commensurate with experience and qualifications. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a related field, a record of excellence in research, and a commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Outstanding candidates in any experimental, computational or theoretical area of chemical engineering research are sought. Candidates with research interests in the materials, energy, environment, or biomedical fields would especially complement departmental priorities.

The department recently received an $8.5 million gift to fund professorships and fellowships, and recently moved into Goodwin Hall, the new signature engineering building on the Blacksburg campus.

Interested individuals should apply on-line at https://jobs.vt.edu for posting #TR0140118 and submit a curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching interests, research plans, and the name and contact information of three professional references. For more details visit http://www.che.vt.edu/ or contact: Professor William Ducker at ChESearch@vt.edu. For full consideration, applications should be received by November 10, 2014. The candidate review process will begin in early November, and the search will remain open until the position is filled. Female and minority applicants are especially encouraged to apply. Virginia Tech is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
